Stephen Thomas Cavit, Composer
In 2008, Stephen was awarded a regional Emmy Award for his work on the series Community Stories. Stephen was also named 2008 Composer-in-Residence of the prestigious St. James Cathedral Choir in Seattle, the first such award in it’s 100 year history.
In 2000, Stephen was awarded one of six fellowships to the Sundance Composers Lab where he studied with composers such as Carter Burwell, George S. Clinton and Graeme Ravel.
In 2005, Stephen was invited to attend BMI’s prestigious Conducting Workshop where he studied with renowned conductor Lucas Richman.
